Adult Day Care Program

With all the comforts of home, Graysonview Adult Day Care provides a relaxed setting within our personal care community where adults enjoy daily interaction with their peers from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. This secure, friendly and spiritually enriching environment offers an affordable alternative for adults who have functional or cognitive impairments but do not need 24-hour care.

A monthly schedule of planned programs and activities delivers an ideal combination of physical and mental exercises as well as entertainment meant to enrich participants' lives. Adults who participate in our program thrive during coffee and cocoa chats, walking club, pet therapy visits, holiday celebrations and games that stretch their muscles as well as their minds. Daily activities include a morning social time, devotions, lunch, and both a morning and afternoon snack.

In addition to the ideal combination of programs and activities that enhance each individual's abilities and strengths, including:

  • Nutritious meals and snacks
  • Daily physical exercise
  • Mental stimulation
  • Ambulation / transfer assistance
  • Incontinence care
  • Medication management
  • Barber and beauty salon
  • Planned activity program
  • In-house physical, occupational and speech therapy (see below)

Genesis Rehabilitation Therapy Services

Our rehabilitation team helps patients of all ages achieve maximum physical, social, and emotional independence. Treatments are offered throughout the week at our well-equipped center by licensed professional therapists. The three components of rehabilitation services offered are physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology treatment. Physical therapy restores function for individuals who have experienced neuromuscular or skeletal dysfunction and may include training and exercise programs, joint and soft tissue mobilization, wound care, and pain management. Occupational therapy assists individuals with adapting to their social and physical environment through education and training, activities for memory, orientation and cognitive integration, adaptive techniques, and exercise programs. Speech-language pathologists address communication and swallowing dysfunction.
